Music is one of the cornerstones of a healthy and happy life and it would be my pleasure to help guide you through part of your musical journey. I teach all skill levels and ambitions, whether you want to play bass a hobby, set up a band with friends or want to prepare for a conservatory audition, I can help you. In my teaching I try to give you the best foundational skills to achieve your musical goals. This means a high level of customization is possible if you have an idea of what direction you want to head down, but I will of course guide you on the way as well.
As a bassist my strong suits are Rock, Pop, RnB and Neo Soul but through the years I have recorded and played live shows in a host of different genres (Jazz, Fusion, Reggae, Ska, Hard rock etc) so my teaching is by all means not contained to a few genres, I believe having a good overview over different kinds of music is very important.
My Method for Online Bass Lessons
A lot of students start out learning bass online through all sorts of content. This is an incredible way to start learning but it can easily lead to gaps in skill or knowledge. Exactly this is why I believe tailoring lessons to a student’s individual needs is paramount. I try as quickly as possible to ascertain what a student’s goals are, where their strong and weak points lie and tailor my lessons to make sure my students have a clear path towards their musical goals.
I have a collection of great books on bass guitar that I use in my lessons, however most of the time is spend either working on custom made content or learning/analyzing songs trough transcriptions (which can be found on my YouTube). There is no rigid lesson plan I make all my students follow as your individual needs are the most important.
