About Me
My name is Bo Keijmel and I am a professional electric bassist living in Berlin, Germany. Originally from Rotterdam, the Netherlands I have been playing bass since I was 13 years old. I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Electric Bass from BIMM Berlin and have also studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston (Summer 2018) and Holland College in Canada (2019-2020).
As a session bassist in Berlin I have recorded in many prestigious studios such as TRIXX, JRS and Tricone with Grammy award winning and nominated producers and engineers. Apart from this I play for multiple solo-artists such as Lucie Frank, Lily Rieke Marty and have played shows in venues such as Festsaal Kreuzberg, Columbiatheater, Lido, Badehaus, Maschinenhaus, Kantine Am Berghain, Privatclub and many more. I also run a YouTube channel where I upload bass transcriptions of modern songs that have garnered over 350.000 views and teach students both in person and online.
